The UWRF-University COMMUNITY Chorus is a non-auditioned mixed ensemble (SATB) open to any student, faculty, and staff member at UWRF as well as residents of communities in western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota. Our goal is to create a community of vocal musicians of all ages and backgrounds through singing a wide variety of choral literature including world premier commissions while improving vocal technique and music reading skills. Our singers range in age from 18-80 and come from around our area and around the world.
The University Community Chorus will meet in a strictly ONLINE format for the Fall Term of 2020. Beginning Monday September 14th, we will meet synchronously between 7:00-9:00 p.m. to create community through choral music. Rehearsals will be led ONLINE using a video conferencing platform and we will learn the process of creating a Virtual Choir performance of several songs. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be unable to meet safely in-person to rehearse or perform. Therefore, we have opted to explore this option in order to continue building community and making music. The fee for the semester will be $25.00. Please register on the next page at Marketplace."
NOTE: UWRF students must register for the class MUSE 160 and disregard this participation fee. Community members will pay a participation fee of $25.00.
